To join Section VIII, you must be a member of the Division of Psychoanalysis (39) of the American Psychological Association.

For professionals eligible to join the American Psychological Association (APA), you are encouraged to join. If you choose not to join APA, you may join Division 39 as an Affiliate Member. If you are not APA eligible but are a licensed mental health professional, you may join Division 39. Once you have joined Division 39 you may join Section VIII.
